VPN leak tests / IVPN
Is IVPN Leaking?
You think
"A privacy-first provider — nothing to worry about."
The mirror
The provider can do everything right and your browser can still say too much.
Provider detection compares your exit network with the networks IVPN is known to use. IVPN may also rent servers elsewhere, so a real IVPN connection can occasionally read as "a VPN, but not IVPN". The test runs in your browser and asks a Cloudflare STUN server for your public address — exactly what any web page can do. We don't see, store or log the result.
Testing…
Three checks run in your browser: IP masking, WebRTC and timezone. DNS has its own test.
About IVPN
IVPN is based in Gibraltar. It states a no-logs policy. Its apps are open source. It supports the WireGuard protocol. These are the provider's public claims and basic facts, not a guarantee.

How to fix IVPN leaks
Turn on the kill switch
In the IVPN app's settings, enable the kill switch (or its equivalent) so traffic stops if the tunnel drops instead of falling back to your normal connection.
Restrict WebRTC in your browser
Firefox: about:config → media.peerconnection.enabled → false. Brave: Settings → Privacy and security → WebRTC IP handling policy → "Disable non-proxied UDP".
Reconnect, then re-test
Reconnect IVPN, make sure it is the connection this browser uses, and run the test again. A VPN only counts if the test says so.
Changed something? Prove it.
Re-run the test after every change — the verdict above updates in place.
Questions about IVPN
Is IVPN leaking my IP address?
Run the test above to see your real result. IVPN can only protect the traffic it carries; a WebRTC leak or a timezone mismatch happens in the browser, outside the VPN's control.
How does this page know I am on IVPN?
This page compares the network your connection exits from (its ASN) with the networks IVPN is known to use — 1 verified so far. IVPN may also rent servers on other networks, so a genuine IVPN connection can occasionally show up as "a VPN, but not IVPN".
Does IVPN prevent WebRTC leaks?
Whether WebRTC leaks depends on your browser, operating system and VPN app settings together, which is why this page tests the real result instead of assuming. Restricting WebRTC in the browser removes the question entirely.
Where is IVPN based?
IVPN is based in Gibraltar. Jurisdiction affects legal requests to the provider; it has no effect on whether your browser leaks.
